Rooms and Accommodation

Shigetsu-an strives to offer comfortable accommodation without compromising the authenticity of the place. Toilets and bathrooms are up to modern standards. Towels are provided, but guests bring their own toothbrush, shampoo and pajama. Wifi is available free of charge. Free parking space at the premises or nearby can be arranged. There is a shared area outside to sit and enjoy the views.

Pick-up service from Kaibara station is available

Accommodation 1 : Shingetsu (New Moon)

Shingetsu comprises the whole annex building. It consists of a bedroom with three single beds, a small sitting room (with extra bed) with a kitchen, and a bathroom with toilet, western bath/shower.

As the place is self-contained, it offers great privacy. Guests have the option of taking their meals at the large table in the main house.

Accommodation 2 : Mangetsu (Full Moon)

Mangetsu is an elegant 8 tatami Japanese style room in the main house. It offers a beautiful view of the garden. There are no beds in Mangetsu. Sleeping is done in the traditional way on the floor on a futon. The room can accommodate up to four people.

This traditional room with sliding doors has no lock. Adjacent to the room is a sitting area with a low table.

Guests share the toilet and the Japanese bath with the owners. Meals are enjoyed at the large communal table.
